Fire resistance and timber buildings

This module is a teaching aid for tutors delivering courses on the use and design of timber in engineering and architecture. There are also related materials such as information sheets, standards and other publications referenced alongside each module, which will assist both students and lecturers.

It provides an introduction to the concepts and considerations for fire resistance in timber buildings, along with the necessary regulatory requirements. Timber materials and products, building design and construction are considered, as well as building management.

This module is designed to support engineering and architecture lecturers.
