Construction principles, specification and design

This module is a teaching aid for tutors delivering courses on the use and design of timber in engineering and architecture. There are also related materials such as case studies and information sheets referenced alongside each module, which will assist both students and lecturers.

The module provides an introduction to timber construction and design principles, with emphasis on designing for durability and building performance. The use of timber in offsite construction projects and construction sequence is also outlined.

This module is designed to support engineering and architecture lecturers.
